Character Interview with Heather Lawrence, heroine in Airborne,
by DiAnn Mills
Hi Heather, can you give us a brief introduction to your role in Airborne?
I’d be honored. Thanks for hosting me today. My official title is FBI Special Agent Heather Lawrence, and I work out of the Houston office in the capacity of behavior analysis. In Airborne, I’m taking a much-needed vacation to Salzburg, Austria. The music festival is going on then, and I have a few critical decisions to make about my personal life. I’ll visit museums, relax, and pray through what’s next for me.
Aren’t you married?
Yes, to Dr. Chad Lawrence, who is an immunologist and microbiologist.
He’s not accompanying you on the trip to Salzburg?
(Heather hesitates before answering.)
My husband is devoted to medical research. Right now, he’s busy and can’t get away, so it’s a solo vacation.
What do you like best about your career in the FBI?
The ability to help people. I’ve found a deep satisfaction in stopping and preventing crime. Our mission statement fuels my commitment to the bureau: To protect the American people and uphold the Constitution of the United States.
Where can we find more about the FBI?
We have a plethora of information on our website at fbi.gov: most wanted, the latest news, what we investigate, services, about and mission, resources, contact info, job opportunities, and miscellaneous topics, including a kids’ page.
How about we ask something fun. Do you have a favorite snack?
(Heather giggles.)
Without a doubt, peanut butter. It has its own food group. When I have the time, I make my own. While some of your readers are allergic to peanuts, I’m one who includes it every day. Here are three websites that show ways to enjoy this treat:

Can you—
(Heather clutches her stomach.)
Excuse me, but I’m not feeling so good. You’ll find out about why that may be in Airborne. And you can find out more about my adventure on DiAnn Mills’s website: https://diannmills.com/books/airborne/. Thanks for inviting me to be a part of your blog tour, but I gotta run.
